An Enchanting Garden
I have just been on holiday and stayed in a really lovely cottage. It had a beautiful garden and I spent many of the evenings walking around it. I loved the fact that it had so many trees and bushed and the planting was very carefully done so that the garden was split in two sections and seemed much bigger than it actually was. I was impressed by the way there was a wall with a round window in, through which was a fantastic view of the surrounding hills and some of the topiary and sculptures were amazing. There were several sets of garden wind chimes which added a haunting, relaxed melody to the walk when the wind blew. There was a very nice seating area as well with a Lynx grill where you could easily cook a nice meal as well as a selection of outdoor heaters so that you could sit out in the evenings even as it cooled off and still remain warm and comfortable and watch the sun set. It was a very inspiring place and it has certainly got me thinking about what I want to do with my garden, to transform it to a little version of that one.
