3 Day Diet Plans – Are These Diet Plans the Right Way to Go?

What are 3 day diet plans? It seems that 3 day diet plans are the hottest plans today, and this is due to the short period of time to see results. And think about this, so many 3 day diets claim major weight loss. It’s no wonder that these programs are so popular. Unfortunately 3 day diets may not be all they’re cracked up to be, they may even cause you to gain more weight down the road.

I’m going to explain why and tell you how to avoid the pit falls. 3 day diet plans fall into two main categories. We’re going to take a look at each category and let you know what to be cautious of. The first category falls under the detox diets group and most often as you eat three times per day and are basically high in protein, many containing fish, they tend to be very low in carbs.

These plans normally tell you to do the 3 days and then stop for roughly a week and then repeat the diet for 3 more days. Then you continually repeat the process, the theory is that this raises one’s metabolism. What they are really, is nothing more than low-calorie diets.

The fundamental problem with this diet system is the fact that most people increase their calorie intake to extremes during the week of no diet. This system can in fact disrupt regularity in your metabolism. The other type of 3 day diets, known as the 3 day detox, is a different matter altogether. They are low in calories as well, and are mostly made up of fruit intake.

These diets are designed to be cleansing diets, to rid your body of toxins and built-up waste. So you can see the increased benefits of this type of diet. Now these diets do provide weight loss and sometimes substantial weight loss. It is not recommended to do a detox diet for a prolonged period of time.
